2008 Photo Contest Rules

Contest open to amateur and professional photographers. Divisions are as follows:
Amateur Youth up to age 18
Amateur Adult 18 and above
Professional All ages

Photos must be taken at the Mary Cummings Park in Burlington and/or Woburn, and may depict anything in the park, such as wildlife and nature, people having fun at the park or scenic pictures. The park is located behind Northeastern University’s Burlington campus, bordered by South Bedford Road and Blanchard Road in Burlington, near the Burlington Mall

Submissions may be prints matted 8x10 inch in color, black-and-white or sepia tone or digital photos. Limit THREE print entries or THREE digital entries per photographer.

Prints will be accepted at the Francoeur Law Office, 13 Freedom Road, Woburn, MA 01801, and digital photos at laurelf@verizon.net, through August 24, 2008.

Please provide the photographer’s name, address, telephone #, age, division, location and date of the picture for each entry.

Winners will be announced on the website www.cummingspark.org in early September. Photographs will be on exhibit at the Burlington Library for the month of September, 2008. An award ceremony will be announced.

First place in each category will win a $25 gift certificate to Ritz Camera. Runners up will receive a coupon for free photo processing at Ritz Camera.

Entries will be judged by members of the Greater Lynn Photography Club. All decisions of the judges are final.

The written consent of anyone who appears in a photograph is required. Photographers give copyright permission to the Friends of Mary Cummings Park, Inc., to use their submissions to promote the park on its website and/or other media.
